He just went west as far as he could to accomplish this, then went into the unexplored room to the left. Not wanting to deal with the tediousness of the dungeon's layout, link played Manbo's Mambo with his Ocarina, teleporting him back to the entrance of Catfish's Maw.
Inside, he opened the chest there to find the map!Īfter consulting said map, Link had a pretty good idea of where he must go. Absolutely annoyed, Link entered the newly open door to the left. Like he had before, Link, boredly, fended off the Master Stalfos. Then, the door opened, which led Link, once again, to the Master Stalfos. Link pushed the third block down to the left, allowing him to strike down the zol. Knowing there must be something here he could not see, Link approached the blocks, splitting the room.Īh-ha! Another green slime appeared on the other side. However, this time, after defeating the enemies he could see, the door did not open. If you need bombs, jump across the gap to the right (as shown in the screenshot above.) There are Bombs floating for you to collect! Get them and come back.Īt the far end of the room, Link entered a doorway to the left. Mini-Boss - Master Stalfos Part 3 and the Map Master Stalfos was a little faster, but knowing his movements, so was Link! After a few hits, Master Stalfos, again, cowardly ran away.Īfter chasing him away, Link returned to the block room, and headed north.
Link went through the same motions as before. Finally, Link entered the room to the north, immediately turned around, and pushed the block south, allowing him to access the now open door to the east. He stepped on it, opening the door to the right. Then, Link pushed the block to the left, opening his path to the switch. He immediately turned around, knowing the block would mysteriously reset itself. Sneaky Master Stalfos!įirst, Link pushed the block up, then went to the left. Link saw a switch on the other side, which he knew he must press to open the door to the right. He found himself in a room with five blocks. Not one to get too emotional, Link stuffed the stupid note back into the chest and moved on, intent to take the item back from Master Stalfos - whatever it was.įirst, he broke the pots in this room to blow off some steam, collecting the bombs, then went north. He just knew it was going to be something good!īut, instead, all he got was a dumb note from Master Stalfos, taunting him. In the next room, Link immediately opened the chest with excitement. Link continued to the right, now that the doors opened! but soon, it would just reassemble! Link recalled the Statue's words, and began planting bombs where the skeleton crumbled.Īfter doing this enough times, the Master Stalfos actually showed enough intelligence to concede. Hitting it once with a sword caused the Master Stalfos to crumble into a pile of bones. Back in the room with the statues, Link used the small key to go north. However, on his way, the door in the room he found the compass locked! Undeterred, Link defeated the enemies here, causing the door to open. Link went back the way he came with his new prize, intent to use it on the northbound locked door in the room with the keese and statues. Proud of his tidiness, a small key suddenly dropped from the ceiling. Unnerved by the disorderliness of the arrangement, Link push the blocks together, creating a solid square of four.
Link defeated the skeletal creatures and gleefully broke all the crystals in the room, fully freeing the four blocks in the center. On the other side of the underground passage, Link made his way into a room filled with purple crystals and Stalfos. Link then continued westward, descending the stairs. In the next room, Link opened the treasure chest to find a Compass. Link defeated the bats and iron masked creatures, and continued left. Eventually he was locked into a room with statues and keese. Link made a left as he entered the Catfish's Maw.
